    Ingredients

    • 1 lb chicken tenders
    • 3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning or 1 package of gluten-free taco seasoning
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (about the juice of one lemon)
    • 1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
    • avocado oil or olive oil in a sprayer

    Instructions

    1. Place chicken tenders in a gallon-size bag. Add in taco seasoning, lemon juice, and oil. Seal the bag, pressing out most of the air. Now, massage the chicken, seasoning, juice, and oil together until the chicken is completely coated.
    2. Place the bag of chicken in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to marinate.
    3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Take the marinated chicken tenders out of the bag and place them in the air fryer basket. Leaving a little room between each one. Spray lightly with oil.
    4. Cook at 400° for 8 minutes. Turn chicken tenders over and lightly spray again with oil. Cook for 2 more minutes. And they’re ready.

I use my Homemade Taco Seasoning with this recipe. Depending on your dietary needs there are two ready-made Taco Seasoning options you could use – McCormick Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning (contains dairy) and Thrive Market Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning (contains brown rice flour), and there is also Primal Palate Taco Seasoning.

Made these last night in my Ninja Foodi and LOVED them! Can the recipe be adapted to use with frozen chicken tenderloins?

So glad you loved them! I’ve found that frozen foods can be cooked in the air fryer as long as they are pre-cooked. I would set the temperature at 400 and then if it’s packaged pre-cooked frozen food set the timer for about half the suggested time and check and then cook a few more minutes and check again. They normally cook up quicker in the air fryer than an oven.
