Make these delicious air fryer taco chicken tenders with an easy to make marinade to tenderize the chicken. They cook up in just 10 minutes. Gluten-free.
1 lb chicken tenders
3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning or 1 package gluten-free taco seasoning
2 tablespoons lemon juice (about the juice of one lemon)
1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
avocado oil or olive oil in a sprayer
Place chicken tenders in a gallon size bag. Add in taco seasoning, lemon juice, and oil. Press most of the air out of the bag and seal. Now massage the chicken, seasoning, juice, and oil together until the chicken is completely coated.
Place bag of chicken in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to marinade.
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Take the marinated chicken tenders out of the bag and place them in the air fryer basket. Leaving a little room between each one. Spray lightly with oil.
Cook at 400° for 8 minutes. Turn chicken tenders over and lightly spray again with oil. Cook for 2 more minutes.
I use my Homemade Taco Seasoning with this recipe. Depending on your dietary needs there are two ready-made Taco Seasoning options you could use – McCormick Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning (contains dairy) and Thrive Market Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning (contains brown rice flour).
