- Whisk cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water. Stir into the sauce and cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from the heat. Add in orange zest.
- Coat the chicken: Toss the chicken with the orange sauce.

Your Orange Chicken sounds lovely and not too tough to accomplish.
Do you have an air fryer option rather than frying?

Follow the directions for my Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets and then coat them with the sauce. https://mamashire.com/air-fryer-chicken-nuggets-gluten-free/

That’s so great!

This was really good but I noticed in the directions for the sauce you mention adding sugar but in the actual recipe you don’t have any sugar listed. I didn’t add any because I wasn’t sure how much to add but now that I’ve made it I think a little bit of sugar is just what it needs. Can you comment with how much you used or adjust the recipe?
Thanks so much for all of the great recipes!! My 13 yo son has been struggling with food since he had to go gluten free, egg free, dairy free and wheat free this past fall!! He was already a picky eater and doesn’t do veggies at all really so it’s been hard. He was craving Panda Express orange chicken and was SO thrilled that I found this recipe!! 💕💕

Oh, thank you for alerting me to that. Yes, there is 1/2 cup sugar and I have fixed the recipe. I’m so sorry for the mixup. And I’m so glad I can help. Food allergies can be a lot to deal with so I’m happy that my recipes are helping!

I am looking forward to making this recipe. However, I can’t have eggs can I just omit them or does that alter the recipe?
MamaShire
You could try dipping the chicken in almond milk or another non-dairy milk in place of the eggs. The breading may not stick quite as well, but it should help.
