    Easy Sausage and Cabbage Recipe with Potatoes

    You’ll be able to have a hearty and savory supper in just minutes with this easy Cabbage and Sausage Recipe made in an Instant Pot.

    With this sausage and cabbage recipe, I use a bag of coleslaw instead of a head of cabbage to make it extra simple. You can put all the ingredients in an Instant Pot and tend to other things while it cooks. If you love easy one-pot meals, you may also love my Farmhouse Beans & Sausage Instant Pot recipe.

    Simple ingredients:

    • 16 oz package smoked sausage, gluten-free
    • 4 russet potatoes
    • 16 oz. bag of coleslaw
    • 2 cups chicken broth, gluten-free
    • 1 medium onion
    • 4 oz can of diced chiles
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt, gluten-free (My favorite is Herbamare)

    Instructions

    • Slice smoked sausage into bite-size pieces.
    • Peel and dice potatoes into 1-inch cubes.
    • Dice onion.

    • Place chicken broth, cut-up smoked sausage, potatoes, onions, a can of chopped chiles, and seasoned salt into the Instant Pot, and then top with the bag of coleslaw.
    Using coleslaw instead of a head of cabbage for cabbage and sausage dinner.
    • Seal the lid on theย Instant Potย and close the vent. Set the manual setting for 3 minutes.
    • After cooking, do a quick release with the valve and then remove the lid. Stir to combine and serve.
    • Salt and pepper to taste.

    Ingredients
