This gluten-free tomato soup recipe is perfect for those times when a cozy bowl of soup is just what you need, and you need to make it quickly. Tomato soup has always been one of my favorite comfort soups. And I love that this tastes so good that I don’t miss the condensed tomato soup version from my childhood at all.

Ingredients
The ingredients you’ll need to have are simple and easy to keep on hand.
- fire-roasted diced tomatoes, gluten-free (I use Hunt’s)
- almond milk
- sugar
- paprika
- garlic powder
- salt & pepper
- pinch of cayenne
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a blender.
Blend for 30-60 seconds or until all the tomatoes are pureed.
Pour puree into a medium-sized saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Turn heat down to low and simmer for 5 minutes; continue to stir frequently.
- Alternatively, if you have an immersion blender, place ingredients directly into the saucepan and blend until the tomatoes are pureed. Then, continue with the heating instructions.
Serve on its own or with gluten-free croutons or gluten-free crackers. My recipe for gluten-free croutons is easy to make and can be cooked while you make the soup.

- 2 14.5 oz cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes, gluten-free
- ½ cup almond milk
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- pinch of cayenne
Instructions
- Place everything in a blender and blend for 30-60 seconds until all of the tomatoes are pureed.
- Pour into a medium-sized saucepan and cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve.
Can be served with gluten-free croutons or gluten-free crackers.
Notes
You could also use an immersion blender by placing the ingredients in the saucepan and blending until all of the tomatoes are pureed. Then proceed with the heating instructions.
