    Egg Roll in a Bowl Recipe (Gluten-Free)

    This delicious gluten-free version of Egg Roll in a Bowl is easy to make for a quick weeknight meal. Featuring ground beef, coleslaw, and seasonings that create the delicious flavors of a traditional egg roll.     Ingredients

    A bag of coleslaw and one pound of ground beef for egg roll in a bowl.

    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 lb ground beef, pork, or turkey
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1 small sweet onion, diced
    3 cloves garlic, minced or diced
    1 14 oz. bag of coleslaw
    1 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 cup coconut aminos or gluten-free soy sauce
    1 tablespoon sesame oil
    1/2 cup sliced green onions

    Instructions

    Frying the ground beef and onions.

    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, and then add in the ground beef. Season the meat with salt and pepper and cook until no longer pink. Add in the diced onion and continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes. Next, stir in the minced garlic and continue cooking for another 30 seconds.

    Add the coleslaw and other ingredients to the skillet for egg roll in a bowl.

    Add the bag of coleslaw, ground ginger, coconut aminos, and sesame oil to the skillet. Stir and continue to cook for another 5-8 minutes until the cabbage is tender.

    Serve with green onions. Can also sprinkle with red pepper flakes if you like a little heat. It can also be served over rice or gluten-free noodles.

    Storing

    Store refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

      This is very good! I love see broccoli slaw instead. I liked the slight crunch it gave to the dish. Definitely a keeper!
