    Italian Beef Sausage (Easy to Make)

    This homemade Italian Beef Sausage is a flavorful and easy substitute for traditional pork sausage. Made with simple pantry spices and ground beef, it delivers a perfectly seasoned classic Italian sausage taste. Add this to pasta, soups, casseroles, pizza, or any recipe that calls for Italian sausage.

    How to make Italian beef sausage

    Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or to a large bowl.

    Mix until the spices and beef are thoroughly combined. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    Add the seasoned beef and cook, breaking it up as it browns, until fully cooked and no longer pink.

    Freshly cooked Italian Beef Sausage

    To Store:

    Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

    To Freeze:

    Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months. Be sure to label and date the container. To thaw, place it in the refrigerator overnight.

    This homemade Italian beef sausage is an easy-to-make pork-free substitute that’s perfect for pasta, soups, casseroles, pizza, and more. 


    Ingredients

    • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • ½ teaspoon oregano
    • ½ teaspoon basil
    • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • ½ teaspoon onion powder
    • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
    • ½ teaspoon sea salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
