This homemade Italian beef sausage is an easy-to-make pork-free substitute that’s perfect for pasta, soups, casseroles, pizza, and more.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ½ teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, or to a large bowl.
  2. Mix until the spices and beef are thoroughly combined.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef and cook, breaking it up as it browns, until fully cooked and no longer pink.
