    Homemade Cajun Spice Mix

One of our favorite chicken recipes is Baked Cajun Chicken Strips. They are easy to make and not only are they great for supper, but they are one of our favorite picnic foods. This Homemade Cajun Spice Mix will give you the spicy flavor you need for any recipe that calls for a Cajun seasoning mix.

Many store bought spice mixes have ingredients that say “spices” that include things that we may not want to be eating, like msg, or they have wheat or whey (dairy) in them. With that in mind, I love being able to make my own spice mixes. I can control the ingredients and how much of them go into the mix. This is especially important if you have dietary restrictions.

Thanks for sharing your cajun spice recipe. Do you have a particular brand of spices that you prefer?

You’re welcome! I’ve bought spices through Bulk Herb Store online before and lately organic options at my local grocer.
