Description

Make your own taco seasoning with this easy recipe.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together with a whisk. Store in an air-tight container.

Notes

Always double check your labels to be sure your spices are gluten-free. McCormick says that all of their single ingredients spices are gluten-free. They also say that they will label if there is an ingredient that has gluten in it for any of their blends like the chili powder. I normally use McCormick and Thrive Market spices.

A couple of notes for you concerning premade Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning packages – McCormick Gluten-Free Taco Seasoning contains dairy and Thrive Market is a little higher in sodium than this recipe and also contains brown rice flour. So they could work depending on your dietary needs.
