Description

These are perfect for salads, soups, and excellent for snacking!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices gluten-free bread, fresh from the bag or left out for a day to dry, which makes it day-old bread
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon basil
  • ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the bread into strips and cut the strips into cubes. Place the bread cubes into a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl and then pour over the bread cubes. Stir the bread cubes around until they are all coated with the seasoning mix.
  3. To bake in the oven: Heat oven to 400°. Lightly spray a baking pan with oil and then spread the bread cubes out over the pan.
  4. Bake the croutons for 9-10 minutes in the oven; check the last couple of minutes to gauge how toasted you want them. If you’re using day-old bread, they may cook faster. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
  5. To make in an air fryer: Place seasoned bread cubes in an air fryer basket and spread them out. Cook for 3-4 minutes, then remove it to a wire rack to cool.

Notes

I used Canyon Bakehouse Gluten-Free bread in this recipe.
