Easy Baked Beans Recipe (Gluten-Free)

These beans are so versatile they go perfectly with summer cookouts and holiday meals.



48 oz. Randall Great Northern Beans
12 oz. smoked sausage (gluten-free)
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 cup ketchup (gluten-free)
3/4 cup brown sugar


Preheat oven to 350°

Set a strainer in the sink and pour the beans into the strainer and let them drain while preparing the other ingredients.

Cut the smoked sausage into shorter pieces and then slice into quarters lengthwise and then slice into 1/2-inch slices. Place in a large mixing bowl.

Chop the onion and add to the bowl.

Add the drained beans, ketchup and brown sugar to the bowl and mix all together.

Place mixture into a 2 or 3-quart baking dish and cover. If your baking dish doesn’t have a lid cover with foil.

Bake for 1 hour.

Crockpot instructions for baked beans: Place in crockpot and cook on low for 4-5 hours.


*I used Meijer Smoked Sausage (Gluten-free). This is a Mid-West grocery store brand so look for a gluten-free brand in your area if not in the Mid-West.
