    Dairy-Free Fudge

This fudge is easy to make, and you don’t need a candy thermometer! This fudge recipe calls for everyday ingredients to make this chocolate and peanut butter fudge that turns out creamy and rich. The taste is like a little bite of perfection.

    Ingredients

    • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
    • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 1 cup of dairy-free buttery spread, melted, Smart Balance or Earth Balance
    • 4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Instructions

Four images showing the steps to make a vegan fudge recipe.
    • Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
    • In a medium mixing bowl whisk together the sugar and cocoa powder.
    • Add the peanut butter to the melted dairy-free butter to soften it. Mix in the vanilla extract. The mixture doesn’t need to be smooth.
    • Add the buttery mixture to the sugar mixture and stir until completely combined.
    • Spread evenly into the baking dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting.
    • Store covered in the refrigerator.

Optional: You can also line the bottom of your baking dish with parchment paper with enough paper to go up along the sides so that you can lift the fudge up. You can secure the paper with clothespins on the sides of the dish to secure the paper while you press the fudge into place.

    How to Freeze Fudge

Fudge can be frozen in an air-tight container for 2-3 months. Place pieces of wax paper or parchment paper in between the layers. To serve, remove it from the freezer and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving, or you can serve it frozen.

So easy and if you love peanut butter you will like this. I used a different dairy free spread but it worked fine. It is easy to cut into squares. I think next time I will add some mini dairy free chocolate chips. Thank you for posting

I got a lot of compliments on the batch I made with this recipe. I subbed in almond butter for the peanut butter and added 1/4 cup of walnuts, too.
