This homemade crispy cinnamon granola is a tasty breakfast addition and snack.
3 cups gluten-free rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup buttery spread, Smart Balance or Earth Balance
2 tablespoon cinnamon
Place the buttery spread in a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat until it is melted.
While that’s heating up, mix the gluten-free rolled oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a large bowl.
Pour the melted buttery spread over the oat mixture and stir until completely combined.
Next, spread the mixture out into a half-sheet baking pan with a rimmed edge. Use the back of a large spoon to spread out the granola and smooth it out evenly.
Bake the granola for 18 minutes in a 350° oven. After it’s baked, remove it from the oven and let cool for 30 minutes and then break it apart into the size of pieces that you want.
You can store completely cooled granola in a sealed container at room temperature for several weeks. To freeze granola place it in an airtight freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
