The THM Blogger Test Kitchen is a Facebook group where we share recipes that are THM friendly. We have several albums in the group that has the different categories of recipes so it makes it easy to find what type of recipe you’re looking for, like dinner recipes that are an S, E, or FP, or perhaps you’re wanting a drink or snack, just search the albums and see all the recipes listed by type.
Now onto my giveaway!
I’m giving away a Cuisinart 11-cup Food Processor!
I’ve had my Cuisinart Food Processor for 6 years now and I just love it. It makes food prep so quick and easy. I think it’s one of my favorite and most important tools in my kitchen. I’ve had other brands of food processors before that just didn’t hold up well, so when I purchased my Cuisinart I was hoping it would work well AND last. I’ve not been disappointed in it at all.
It can shred, slice, chop, or mix just about what ever type of food you’re working with. I can use it to shred a head of cabbage in just a couple of minutes to make sauerkraut or coleslaw, it can quickly shred zucchini or yellow squash so I can make my Chocolate Peanut Butter Muffins or Yellow Squash Snack Cake. I can shred carrots, chop pecans, and then use it to mix the batter for my favorite Carrot Cake. It helps make all the prep work easy for making Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup. Can you tell this gets a lot of use in my kitchen?
*Update* – There was a recent recall on older Cuisinart Food Processor chopping blades. This model is is not on the recall list. I actually do have one of the older chopping blades that has been recalled. I’ve never had any trouble with it, but I will be returning it to get the newer one.
**Giveaway is closed**
Congratulations goes to Kayle!

Clementine Patterns celebrated it’s fourth year of being a business this week!
And it’s all thanks to you! Our sweet customers – you are the ones that have made this happen. It has been such a blessing to us to be able to share these designs and encouraging words with you.
The first pattern that we offered for sale four years ago was our “Give Thanks” pattern. It was the first in our four seasons line.
“Sing to the Lord” has become our most popular beginner kit. Our beginner kits include extra fabric, thread, and extra instructions for beginners on learning how to do the stitches.
The very first embroidery that I remember doing was when I was eight, it was an elephant, a circus elephant. I don’t remember how I got the design or what would make me decide to do a circus elephant, but that’s what I did. I have kept it all these years. I’ll have to get it out and post a picture of it.
Our designers are my daughters, Breezy and Emily Rose. I love being able to see how they come up with designs and turn them into something that we can create into a beautiful hand-crafted heirloom. Our newest pattern, “Fruit of the Spirit”, started as a small design in Emily Rose’s sketch book. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.
This is my favorite part – getting to embroider the samples! It’s like painting with thread.
A big part of our work hours are spent putting together the kits. It’s such a delight to think of where these kits might end up or who will be stitching these patterns. My sweet husband, Rob, sews our needle books for us. He is a third generation automobile upholsterer; his skills with a sewing machine are amazing. He sews these little books up for us in a third of the time that it would take me. He also takes our packages out to be shipped.
When the Lord sends us a sale we like to sing the doxology because it is only by His grace and mercy that we have been able to do this.
“Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.”
We would like to continue the celebration of Clementine Patterns anniversary by giving away one our embroidery kits. Enter below!

I am super excited about this week’s giveaway. When the Pioneer Woman’s Kitchen Collection was announced I went to Walmart’s website to look over all the new pieces and I was thrilled with how pretty everything was and how well you could mix and match the items. So this last giveaway of my “Month of Giveaways” is for a $50 Gift Card to Walmart which carries the Pioneer Woman’s Kitchen Collection.
I’ve picked up a few pieces of the Pioneer Woman line already to try them out and I am loving them. The first piece I added to my kitchen was this cake stand. I had been wanting a cake stand for awhile and when this little beauty showed up at our local Walmart I knew this was the one.

My daughter, Emily Rose bought these colorful lids for me that go on our ball jars. Since I drink big drinks like this one everyday, these lids come in so handy. Especially, when I am working on a piece of embroidery and need to be extra careful not to spill anything.
This plate is another piece that we are enjoying. You probably have seen it popping up in pictures on my blog. It’s very photogenic.

For the last week of my “Month of Giveaways” I want to give one of you a $50 gift card to Walmart. Now, you can spend it on anything you would like, but I thought it would be fun for you to be able to pick up some of the new Pioneer Woman’s Kitchen Collection, especially if you’ve had your eye on them like I have.
A couple years ago, I heard some of friends at church talking about a book called “Trim Healthy Mama” that was written by sisters. It was enough to make me curious. So I searched for the book online and then found the Trim Healthy Mama Facebook page. It was there on Facebook that I was hooked. They were sharing story after story of lives being changed by eating the “Trim Healthy Mama” way. I would look at the pictures being posted and just couldn’t get over it. Women, men, and children all losing weight, their health was improving and they were not feeling deprived with their food. What?
I took the plunge and bought the book. Reading through the book I was amazed, it all made sense and seemed very doable. And then I started… and oh, I made so many mistakes, but in time it all began to click and it was very doable.
Fast forward two years and I am still following this way of eating. I have lost the weight that kept hanging on and my health has improved so much. I feel better than I ever have. I’ve been officially in maintenance mode for over a year and it is still very doable.
The first “Trim Healthy Mama” book was big and full of great ideas, recipes, and special helps. These new books have taken all the big book’s information and separated it into two books. The “Trim Healthy Mama Plan” book is laid out in a very easy to read format and breaks down all the different parts of the plan in a simple to understand manner.
I especially like Part Three of the book where they give menu ideas, tips and what to expect for specific needs, such as Drive Thru Sue’s, The Purists, Budgeting Mamas, Working Mamas, Pregnant and Nursing Mamas, Turtle Losers (slow losers), Vegetarians, Allergen-Free Mamas, and the Maintenance Mamas.
The “Trim Healthy Mama Cookbook” has beautiful pictures throughout and the recipes are formatted in a style that most people in the US are used to reading. That will make following the recipes much easier than the older version.
One of the exciting things in the new cookbook that I am looking forward to trying is the no-dairy cheese recipes. These particular recipes do call for several specialty ingredients. So when I gather those items, I am planning on doing a review of those recipes. Hopefully, that will be within the next couple of weeks, so that we can prepare for the holidays a little better. Cheese should be on holiday menus, if at all possible.
Speaking of dairy, there are plenty of recipes in the book that do not contain dairy – that is a blessing. I did make the Bangin’ Ranch Drums recipe and while it called for yogurt mixed with mayo, I simply mixed coconut milk with the mayo and it turned out wonderful.
Pearl and Serene have poured so much into these book and they definitely will make following the Trim Healthy Mama plan much easier.
Overall, I think these books are game changers!

I want to thank everyone who entered in last’s weeks giveaway! It has been such a blessing to be able to share these gifts with you all!
Continuing with my “Month of Giveaways” in celebration of the launch of my new blog, this week’s giveaway is featuring some products from our family’s businesses!
A little background on our family businesses – My daughters, Breezy and Emily Rose, have always loved to create and as they finished their homeschooling years, they took that love of creating and started their own home businesses, The Breezy Tulip Studio and Noble Rose Press. Breezy being more of the traditional artist uses watercolor, pencil and ink. Emily Rose loves working in graphic design and visual editing. And my love of embroidery began another creative outlet for us in designing and stitching embroidery patterns for Clementine Patterns.
Here’s what one of you will win in this week’s giveaway!
One kit of your choice from Clementine Patterns. Our kits come with everything you need to complete the embroidery – pre-printed fabric, embroidery threads, instruction sheet, stitch guide, needle, needle book, and hoop. The only thing extra you’ll need is a pair of scissors.
One 8 x 10 art print of your choice from The Breezy Tulip Studio.
And one each of the Breezy and Emily Rose’s books that they created and are available at Noble Rose Press.

Chai Sipper – a super easy, yummy drink – my version of “The Shrinker”. Dairy-free and sugar-free it’s a perfect sipper drink to enjoy throughout the day!
(This post contains affiliate links. Any purchases you make through my links will provide me with a small commission at no extra charge to you. Thank you for your support! I appreciate it so much! See my disclosure policy here.)
When I first started following Trim Healthy Mama four years ago, I began drinking their famous “Shrinker” sipper drink and loved it. Although the first time I made it, I put WAY too much cayenne in it. Quick lesson learned, start with a pinch of cayenne and build up to suit your taste.
You can find the Original Shrinker Recipe on the Trim Healthy Mama’s website and facebook page. While the original recipe is easy to make, I wanted something even easier – like super easy! The addition of a rooibos tea that is already spiced was the answer for me.Print
Oolong Rooibos Chai Sipper
- Category: Drinks
- Bring water to a boil. Put tea bags in quart jar. Make sure to keep your paper tags on the tea bags up and over the side of the jar. Holding onto the tags, carefully pour the hot water into the quart jar. (Keep your hand out of the way) Let steep until it cools.
- Remove tea bags and add unsweetened almond milk, sweetener, pinch of sea salt, tiny pinch of cayenne, additional water, and ice (if desired) to fill jar. Stir with spoon or straw.
Oolong tea and rooibos tea both have excellent health promoting qualities. I have included links below for further reading on their health benefits.
