A plate with air fried asparagus, green beans, and cauliflower.

Quick and easy Air-Fried Asparagus. In just a few minutes you can have a tasty side of asparagus with little effort and easy cleanup. This low-carb vegetable is so tasty and the texture from air frying is nice and tender on the inside with a little crisp on the outside. A few of my other favorite vegetables to air fry are my Air-Fried Onion Rings, Air-Fried Radishes, and Air-Fried Baby Potatoes.

How To Make Air-Fried Asparagus:

Air Fried Asparagus - Low Carb, THM-FP(Some links in this post are affiliate links. See my disclosure policy here.)

These tasty asparagus spears are so simple to make. I’ve made these in the oven before, but using the Air Fryer makes it even quicker and easier. There is no need to preheat the oven, it doesn’t heat up the kitchen as an oven does, and one of my favorite reasons to use the air fryer is the ease of clean-up. The inside basket and base basket are lightweight and a breeze to clean.

Air Fried Asparagus - Low Carb, THM-FPLightly spritz the asparagus with avocado oil or olive oil using an oil spritzer like this Evo Oil Sprayer. I bought this set of two when I bought the air-fryer and I really like how easy they are to use.

Air Fried Asparagus - Low Carb, THM-FP I made the green beans and sausage recipe in my Instant Pot while the asparagus was cooking in my Air Fryer and it was all so easy and this didn’t heat up my kitchen.

Update on my Air Fryer: I recently upgraded my air fryer to the GoWISE 5.8 Quart Air Fryer. It has a larger basket so it not only holds more food but allows for more air circulation.

What are the Benefits of an Air Fryer:

There are so many things I love about air fryers here are a few:

  • Cooks food quickly
  • You don’t have to heat up your oven for roasting or heat up a large skillet of oil for frying.
  • It gives food a perfect texture.
  • You can cook a variety of foods in them – meats, vegetables, bread, or desserts.

There are so many air fryers on the market and at different price points but I feel like the GoWise is a good choice in that its size is roomy so that your food cooks more evenly and the price is affordable. It also has the best reviews on Amazon. I use my air fryer every day for cooking, heating up leftovers or simply making toast.

Another thing I like about air fryers and this one, in particular, is that while you can make family-sized servings in it you can also make one or two serving size meals without having to heat up the oven for a small dish. So this is perfect for families or singles.

I just tried this – it was the best asparagus I’ve ever had! Just a little bit crunchy and a little bit toasty. Thank you!

Very good, like oven roasted, just the correct texture. They were thick stalks so less time for thin ones. Will make again.

What did you do to my grandkids? They hate asparagus. When I made them tonight they stood and ate them all and I was glad I had more. Thank you.

Love this recipe! Got my picky toddlers to eat asparagus! What brand is your oil sprayer if you dont mind my asking? It looks like it works better than any I’ve tried. Thank you

So glad this recipe was a hit with your toddlers! That oil sprayer I use is Evo Oil Sprayer. It comes in a set of two. There’s a link in my post that goes directly to them on Amazon.

My husband loved the asparagus made in the air fry. Normally he would not eat it but he’s ready for some more tomorrow. I would like a recipe for air fry chicken. We are on a low carb, no sugar diet. So need something with out flour etc. thank you

Thank you for the recipe, I am anxious to try it. I found it after I cooked my asparagus at 350 for 8 minutes and it was a bit mushy, hoping the higher temperature will make it a little crispy.
