Welcome to MamaShire! I’m so glad that you’ve come to visit. I find delight in nourishing my family with whole foods, creating beauties for the home and loving God and my family. You’ll find posts here that will hopefully encourage you in your daily work and life.
After finding out that we have celiac disease our kitchen had to go into a major overhaul to get out the gluten and I pretty much had to learn how to cook all over again. Now 6 years later having a gluten-free kitchen is normal. Recipes that you will find here will be gluten free, cow-dairy free, and “mostly” grain free and many will be “on plan” with Trim Healthy Mama.
I am a graduated homeschool mom and I am loving this stage of life where our family is working alongside each other creating for our home businesses. Our life tends to be a little on the messy side with creative projects spilling out on a daily basis. I’ll share some of the projects we are working on and behind the scenes.
Most of the photography you will see on my blog is mine, unless it is of excellent quality and then you can be sure it was taken by my daughter, Emily Rose. She has such a wonderful talent with photography and graphic design, she makes everything look better.
My dear husband, Rob, went home to be with the Lord this past September. He had been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer just 4 weeks prior. Everything happened so fast. He loved us well and he loved Jesus. He would often talk about how blessed we had been and that he was resting in the Lord’s timing. This has been so very hard to go through and yet the Lord Jesus continues to comfort us and carry us through this trial.
My daughters and I have been so blessed by so many kind and generous acts of love on our behalf. We appreciate your love and prayers.
